Why We Let Our Candles Rest: The Art of Curing at The Polished Wick

At The Polished Wick Candle Co., every candle is more than wax and fragrance — it’s a carefully curated moment. And behind every polished glow is a process we deeply honor: curing.
 What is Curing?
Curing is the resting period that allows the soy wax and fragrance oils to fully bind and develop a rich, lasting scent. While a freshly poured candle might look ready, the real magic happens in the days that follow.
 Why It Matters
Just like a fine wine, our hand-poured candles need time to reach their full expression. Curing enhances:
The hot throw (how strong the scent is when burning)
The cold throw (how the candle smells before it's lit)
The overall burn quality
 How We Cure
At The Polished Wick, we give each candle 7–14 days of undisturbed rest — lids off, in a cool, clean space. We don’t rush the process, because we believe your polished moments deserve patience and perfection.
So when you light your Polished Wick candle, know this:
It has been lovingly crafted, carefully poured, and thoughtfully cured — all to bring you a scent experience that lingers, soothes, and inspires.
Because life is meant to shine… beautifully.
With care,
The Polished Wick Candle Co.
